Can I Use a Silicone Face Wash Brush Every Day?

It depends on your skin type! Different skin types can use silicone brushes with different frequencies. We have summarized the following skin characteristics to help you.

Oily and Non-sensitive Skin

Oily skin requires scrubbing to remove pore-clogging oils and impurities. If your skin is oily and not sensitive, start using the silicone face brush twice a week. If you notice a significant change in your skin within 3-4 weeks, then increase the frequency to every other day. If the gentle scrubbing of the silicone face brush suits your skin, then you can use it up to once a day. However, you can take a break once in a while, especially on days when you are not going out.

In the morning, when you sleep on your pillow and your face is covered in oil and sweat, scrub your face with the silicone face scrubbing brush. Or, you can scrub your face at night before you go to bed, which allows your skin pores to breathe. The best thing you can do is scrub your face one morning and then scrub your face the next night. Whichever routine makes your skin feel fresher, you can stick to that time.

When using the silicone brush you can start at a slower pace on delicate areas and then pick up the pace as you scrub your neck and chin. Try to make circular movements while scrubbing your face to promote blood circulation while deep cleaning your facial pores.

Oily and Sensitive Skin

If you have oily skin that is prone to acne and easily irritated, start by using a silicone facial brush once a week. Eventually, you can scrub your face once a week. Once you are sure that a silicone face brush is right for you, you can gently scrub your face 2-3 times a week.

In case your skin feels irritated and acne-prone after scrubbing with the silicone face brush, try switching to a different face wash. The soft silicone bristles are suitable for all skin types.

Another reason why your skin may feel irritated after scrubbing is improper hydration. Make sure you use a non-greasy moisturizer after scrubbing your face to lock in all the essential oils and prevent them from becoming sensitive.

Silicone face brushes are known to provide gentle and mild exfoliation for sensitive skin, so it is one of the best ways to remove dirt and oil build-up from pores. A silicone face brush can also relieve bacteria buildup on the skin.

For sensitive skin, start with a silicone brush with soft, fine bristles for a gentle, non-irritating scrubbing experience.

Dry and Non-sensitive skin

Dry and non-sensitive skin is a blessing if you take care of it properly! However, if you do not remove dead skin cells, dry skin can lead to flaking skin. If you have dry but sensitive skin, use a manual silicone face wash brush about twice or three times a week.

After scrubbing, be sure to use a moisturizer so your skin doesn't feel dry. Before going to bed, use a gentle cleanser and don't forget to moisturize your face as this will help eliminate flaky skin.

Get into the habit of using a silicone face brush to help your skin breathe. There is a belief that a silicone face wash brush is just another ordinary cleansing brush. But in reality, it is very good for your skin and it certainly does not cause any harm.

Dry and Sensitive skin

It's not common, but people with dry skin are also prone to acne, inflammation and itchiness. We recommend that you scrub for less than a minute the first time to see if your skin is irritated. Try wetting your face with warm water to wash off the cleanser as well.

One of the misconceptions about silicone face brushes is that they should be used on sensitive skin. But the truth is that silicone face brushes can be used on all types of skin. Just make sure that, for dry, sensitive skin, you use a gentle circular motion, a cleanser appropriate for your skin type and the proper frequency, which should be no more than twice a week. Follow with a moisturizer and serum for proper hydration to soothe the skin.

Tips

1. Always choose the right cleanser for your skin type. Scrubbing your face with the wrong type of cleanser can have a negative impact on your skin.

2. Always be gentle during the scrubbing process. No matter how dirty your face is, don't apply too much pressure and hope for better results. The bristles of the silicone face brush remove built-up oil and dirt by gently scrubbing.

3. Avoid using the silicone face brush on delicate areas such as eyes and lips.
